Bannonbrig Orlando Bloom - Oby

Lorraine Welton's boy BANNONBRIG ORLANDO BLOOM was awarded the CC (Best Male) at The Italian Spinone Club of Great Britain Championship Show by Breed Specialist Judge Malcolm Bevan (Stowledge Spinoni) and then thrilled us all by wining his second CC at LKA under Gundog Specialist Judge Pam Blay.

Way to go Oby and Lorraine!

excellent male who is so balanced & so typy, excellent masculine head & expression with a good eye of a lovely colour & shape, excellent head planes & correctly placed ears of a good length to balance the picture, his excellent head leads on to a strong neck of the correct length with strong front construction & well set shoulders, lovely topline & well set tail, well muscled hindquarters, well boned legs & feet, excellent depth & width to his ribcage. This quality boy could not put a foot wrong from the first run round to the end of this strong class, I kept being drawn back to his quality & type, in profile he has that free & easy movement that the breed needs, holding his topline & correctly carrying his head & the easy wagging of his tail completed the picture. Nothing could lower his flag today & it was my pleasure to give him the CC.

and blooming lovely too. Pleasing in head and eye, grouchy expression. Balanced in angulation with lovely orange roan flat , harsh coat, good skin. Could do with a little more length in neck but otherwise topline, underline and depth of chest were right enough. Moved strongly though has a tendency to hold his tail a bit high on the move. Seriously considered for RCC.

Another well boned masculine dog with the correct square outline. Lovely masculine head with gentle expression and divergent head planes. Correct large spongy nose and pronounced occiput. Strong front with excellent oval bone. Deep chest with minimal tuck up. Correct neck & shoulders with excellent spring of rib. Good coat texture and correct skin. Well-muscled strong rear. Lovely mover.

Well sized & balanced 3 year old of developed substance. Well ribbed body of good depth. Correct shape to skull with strong neck. On the day he was lacking a touch of enthusiasm, but none the less steady straight mover, BOB.

Great outline, His proportions are spot on, Deep body, good width throughout. Strong medium length neck leading into the best of toplines. He stands so well over the ground his excellent construction leads to all four limbs being planted in the right spot. Strong bone, large compact feet of good shape. Coarse coat over thick skin. Judging is all about compromise and in the perfect world I would like to see this dog with a more roof like skull, his head proportions are 50/50 with a good degree of divergence and a kind and patient expression. Moved well and this gave him the edge over RCC winner.
